Hi Dee Ann - thanks for your in-put. It was so good to know someone knew what I meant by the symbols. I think you are right about them wanting to attack a person's weakness. I guess mine is that I don't like arguing. - although I will say something the first time if I've been offended, and usually it can be put right at the start but with this type of person they ignore that and keep on - then when you ignore that (because you know it didn't do any good to bring it up) they revert to the symbols to try to get to you, and the whole thing just gets worse. I'm like you though I didn't let on I understood what they meant - but it still continued. It's terrible though because although I just answer back at face value - you wonder if they think you are doing things symbolically too. Anyway I find that the only solution with this kind of person is just not to communicate with them at all. Thanks again

I did know what you meant right away, as you were very clear. If some people couldn't question, they'd have nothing to say. How sad is that! I do believe that not communicating with them is the only solution too.
